Zvezda's neue Brettspiel und Wargame-Magazin "Große Siege. Militärgeschichte Russlands"

Die Bekanntgabe dieses Brettspiels macht klar, dass die neue 1/72 WW2 - Produktionslinie von Zvezda eigentlich für das Wargame-Konzept entwickelt wurde.

Das ganze begann eigentlich mit der Erscheinung einer Zeitschrift am 16.04.10.



Hier eine kurze Bericht vom russischen mit "Google" übersetzt und bißl korrigiert:

Die Zeitschrift wird ab 16. April 2010, alle 2 Wochen veröffentlicht.

Zusammen mit der ersten Ausgabe wird geliefert:
• Eine Reihe von sowjetischen Infanteristen;
• Eine Reihe von deutschen Infanteristen;
• Das Spielfeld ist A3;
• Die Karten sind laminiert - 2 Stck.
• Würfel "1,6" - 1 St.

Die zweite Ausgabe erscheint am 30 April 2010.

Zusammen mit der zweiten Ausgabe, wird jeder Leser, wegen des "Grossen Sieges" (Ende des 2. Weltkrieges!) auch ein Geschenk erhalten!

In der zweiten Ausgabe:

• Eine Reihe von deutschen MG-Schützen Maschinengewehr;

"Great Sieges"- wargame magazine figures and vehicles list!

Zvezda's new board game "Great Patriotic War 1941" includes figures and vehicles which were delivered with a new "Wargame" magazine called "Great Sieges:Military history of Russia."

The first issue was sold on 9 April 2010.

Wargame Magazine "The great victories"

The announcement of the board game "The great Patriotic War 1941" makes it clear that the new 1/72 WW2-production line from Zvezda was actually a new Wargame concept.

The whole story began actually with the appearance of a wargame-magazine at 16.04.10.

Here is a brief report from the Russian by "Google" translated and somewhat corrected.

Zvezda started a new line of the WW2 1/72 miniatures for their new wargame.

Here are some photos of the AT-gun, AA-gun and howitzer:

Soviet 37mm anti-aircraft gun.


Soviet 45mm anti-tank gun. The crew is good and urgently needed!



German Flak38 anti-aircraft gun.



German 105mm howitzer. The construction of the gun is simple, but the crew is good in my opinion!



Don't forget to notice that those on the photos are molded in hard polyethylen, which obscures some details.

I think, that Zvezda will produce in hard plastic in the final production.

"Battles of Westeros" - boardgame / Leadership cards!

Leadership cards are another important component of the "Battles of Westeros" - boardgame.

The player uses them to give orders to his forces.

The back of this cards has his House's symbol.

Leadership cards have 2 different layouts.

One is so-called basic, with a "command box" and a "command icon" in the upper left corner of the this text box.


There are 10 basic leadership cards.

The other variant is called, "commander-specific" and has 2 or 3 different sections.

The first section is the "command box", with a "command icon", like on the basic leadership card. Some of the leadership cards has 2 command boxes!

The second section is the tactic box.


There are for each commander 5 commander-specific leadership cards.

The main difference between both card types is, the picture of the commander figure in the lower right corner on the "commander-specific" leadership cards.

While playing a commander-specific leadership card, the player should declare which commander is using the card.

BUT, with the choosen card, the player may activate ANOTHER commander, not the one pictured on the card.

(IMHO, this is confusing...)

The Leadership card allow a choosen commander to give orders to multiple units.

If the player wishes to use the tactic box on the card as well, he must first check, if the requirements are fulfilled for using this tactic.

The Great Patriotic War - Summer 1941

Zvezda annouced a military-historical board game:

"The Great Patriotic War. Summer 1941"



I made this translation in Google, some mistakes could be done by me!

The game will be on sale on 20 October 2010 and it contents:

* 54 infantry figures

* 5 models of technology (I am not sure, what does that mean?)

* 1 model airplane

* 4 model guns

* a set of engineering structures (I think, that means barbed wire, sandbags...)

* 6 bilateral (double sided) playing fields

* 30 elements(additional hexagons with different terrain characteristics) of the bilateral area

The figures and vehicles are in 1/72 scale, the production line includes not only figures and tanks, also, AT-guns, AA-guns, howitzers, trucks and planes!

If this new boardgame can be compared with Memoir 44, Tide of Iron and Panzer General, is the next question.

The "Age of Battles" serie was not so beloved and popular in Europe, (my own experience!).

Piyasada, "Memoir 44", "Tide of Iron", "Panzer General" gibi bir kaç senedir üretilen, rakiplere karşı kendisini kabul ettirmek zorunda olan, bu yeni oyun, umarım, diğer seriye nazaran daha iyi pazarlanir.
